Porlock Parish Council has a responsibility to consider the impact planning applications have on Porlock Village and provide their comments/recommendations to Exmoor National Park Authority.
A BRIEF GUIDE TO PLANNING
The local planning authority Exmoor National Park Authority notifies all planning applications that affect the Parish Council for their consideration and comment.
Porlock Parish Council , as a statutory consultee of Somerset West & Taunton (SW&T), is then asked to comment on all planning applications within the Parish.
The Parish Council is consulted for its local knowledge but does not determine a Planning Application, we are a statutory consultee.
The following Planning Applications are currently under review:
6/27/21/106 – Pilgrims, Redway, Porlock, TA24 8QF – response required by 24th March 2021
Proposed installation of solar panels on roof of existing dwelling.
6/27/21/105 – 7 Hurlstone Park, Bossington Lane, Porlock, TA24 8JB – response required by 17th March 2021
Proposed conversion of the existing integral garage to make a bedroom suite and an additional upstairs bedroom in the roof void of the garage with access from the stairs of the main house.
6/27/21/103 – PORLOCK CARAVAN PARK, HIGHBANK, PORLOCK, MINEHEAD, TA24 8ND – response required by 11th March 2021
Proposed removal of existing caravan (reception, office and Site Manager’s accommodation) and the siting of a replacement caravan (reception, office and Site Manager’s accommodation) with timber decking and access ramp.
6/27/21/104 – ELTHORNE, TOLL ROAD, PORLOCK, MINEHEAD, TA24 8JH – response required by 12th March 2021
Proposed construction of cedar clad office/observatory.
